Associate of Arts Degree Sociology

The online Associate of Arts degree program in sociology provides an online option for prospective students who desire a two-year associate degree but are unable to obtain the coursework in the traditional manner. Courses will be designated in the East Georgia College course schedule as online courses (W). Students will be able to plan a full associate program in sociology which will be available entirely online. Some courses may require proctored examinations; test sites local to students are usually available.

Undergraduate - Minor in African and African Diaspora Studies

The online African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS) minor fosters an understanding of the global experiences of African and African-descended peoples in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Students gain an appreciation of the diverse character of humanity, explore the complex historical and cultural relations among Africans on the continent and African-descended peoples in the Diaspora, and engage in a comparative study of issues affecting Africans in the continent and the Diasporas.
